National Bank of Ukraine changes the rules for opening and closing the accounts of its clients

From the date of entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On Payment Services" on the 1st of August 2022, Resolution of the NBU No. 138 of the 7th of July 2022 came into force as well. By this resolution the National Bank approved the changes to the instructions on the procedure for opening and closing accounts of its clients.

On the 1st of August 2022 the Law of Ukraine No. 1591-IX "On Payment Services" came into force.
The law aims to adapt Ukrainian legislation to the legislation of the European Union for the future integration of the payment system of Ukraine with the EU payment system.
