Regulation of the use of documents that expired during the period of martial law
On the 21st of October the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that allows foreigners and stateless persons to enter and legally stay in Ukraine on the basis of temporary or permanent residence permits that have expired or are subject to exchange after the 24th of February, 2022.
The period of validity of the norm extends to the period of martial law and within 30 days after its termination or cancellation.
In addition, for the period of martial law, passports of citizens of Ukraine in the form of cards, the terms of validity of which expired during the war, and passports of citizens of Ukraine of the 1994 model, which do not have photo cards pasted upon reaching the age of 25 or 45, are identity documents and confirm Ukrainian citizenship.
