SCHNEIDER GROUP took place in a round table on the topic "Tax and Customs Audits - Practice and Innovations"
On July 17 the Tax and Financial Reporting Committee of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce organized a round table on the topic "Tax and Customs Audits - Practice and Innovations". At this round table the leading tax law experts raised such issues as the activation of tax audits, tax fines, blocking of tax invoices, the "white business club" and other issues which are important and relevant in the field of taxation in the present time.
Artem Barinov, Partner in SCHNEIDER GROUP, who is a member of the Tax Committee, was one of the speakers at this event. In his presentation, Mr. Barinov paid attention to important issues for Ukrainian business related to the registration of VAT invoices. Thus, he named the list of the latest changes to the current legislation of Ukraine regarding the registration of tax invoices and indicated their impact on the activities of taxpayers and interaction with the bodies of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. In addition, Mr. Barinov shared SCHNEIDER GROUP's experience in appealing against the decisions of the controlling authorities on refusal to register tax invoices and cited some important decisions of Ukrainian courts on these issues, which form a positive judicial practice for taxpayers.
