The number of industrial parks in Ukraine is growing
The number of industrial parks in Ukraine is growing every year. Valeriy Kyrylko, Director of the Industrial Parks of Ukraine group of companies, told this during the Mind Entrepreneur Summit 2024. According to him, 77 industrial parks have already been registered in Ukraine, but the number of those that are actually working is much smaller.
According to Mr. Kyrylko, the war stimulated the development of parks in Ukraine. Thus, with the beginning of the war, many relocated enterprises began to look for work sites in Central and Western Ukraine. From 2022, industrial parks began to receive support from the state, preferences and tax incentives appeared.
As Mr. Kyrylko noted: "The largest number of requests comes from the agricultural sector, the food industry, from the construction of elevators to the processing industry, manufacturers of building materials. Moreover, construction materials - 50% on 50% with foreigners. The latter understand that Ukraine will recover, and are already looking for plots of land."
A small and medium-sized business can also become a participant of an industrial park, as appropriate boxes are created for this in industrial parks, the so-called light industry box is when a large object is created, and then 200, 300, 400, 500 square meters are rented out, noted Valery Kyrylko.
